Real Deal | 2023 | Acrylic on oak and birch panel(s) | Weathered gray stain on poplar frame | 36”x48” approx. | 2023 | This piece started out with some loose ideas of authenticity as a conceptual basis…. As I was working through it, those ideas started to dissipate. Authenticity truly is fleeting. -For Sale - $2,400

Working Title: Davis Haus I | Acrylic on Panel(s) | Walnut Stained Poplar Frame | 46”x62”approx. | 2022 | This outsized piece has been a slog, but I’m very happy with the results. I made it for Aimee Libke Davis and I to hang in our living room. Davis-centric themes persist here. - Not For Sale

Drifter | Acrylic on Wood Panel(s) | Gray Stained Poplar Frame | 18”x29” Approx. | 2022 | Thesis: An abstract assortment of motifs and musings. No overreaching ideas here… Just a designed collage. We don’t like drifters in this town. Note No. 1: I’m utilizing some scrap and a lighter, looser decorative content here. I’ve focused on time and construction processes with this piece…. A bit of experimentation with less figurative imagery. The economics of actually making art if you will. -For Sale - $600

Havana Nights - Cigar Series No.1 | Acrylic on Oak Plywood Panel(s) | Gray Stain on Poplar Frame | 24”x24” | 2022 | Thesis: Leaning into Cuban tobacco culture; This piece cribs cigars, tobacco, rum and Cuban vibes to create a smoky mood situation. Aye Papi indeed. Note: I think I smoked my first tobacconist purchased cigar in the Spring of ‘93. I was enamored with the smell, labels and lifestyle. Even today those same feelings persist. I’m channeling lovely memories as I’m making this piece. -SOLD

Cigar Series No.2 - Tampa / Ybor City | Acrylic on Oak Plywood Panel(s) | Gray Stain on Poplar Frame | 24”x24” | 2022 | Thesis: Strong structure with tropical undertones; Tampa / Ybor City dives into the heyday of domestic cigar production in the United States. Small cigar images paired with cigar box art dominate this piece. Smoke ‘em if you’ve got ‘em. Note: Ybor City was an immigrant only enclave outside of Tampa that was the center of cigar production in Florida at the end of the 1,800’s. Apparently it was folded into Tampa proper and due to the lawless nature of Ybor City… It took nearly 5 years for the city to be deemed safe to walk in after dark. -SOLD

Swiss Army I | Acrylic and Latex on Panel | Red Oak Self Frame | 36”x60” | 2021-2022 | Thesis: Putting the fun in function; This piece shuffles the deck on reality. Everyday objects out of place and scale create incongruity and humor. Note One: This larger painted piece is based on a series of hand illustrated and digitally edited limited run prints I produced ten years ago. I wasn’t able to scale these ideas up into a piece like this back then. I’m glad I can now. No Regerts! Note Two: I love everything about Swiss Army knives. However; Unless you’re open a package or snipping a stray thread or the like…. You may be dead in the water. These pocket friends are the archetype for the maxim: “Jack of all trades. PPF No. 1 | Acrylic on Panel(s) | Pine frame with weathered gray stain and Danish oil | 12”x14” | 2023 | A smaller piece, designed as a prototype platform of sorts. More modern. A near pretentious framing mechanism on this piece… A stylized pallet of sorts on the back pushing the piece off the wall. The left side of the piece has a stainless dog tag with my name, the name of the piece and the year. It’s fussy, fun and admittedly cool. IMO. -For Sale - $300

PPF No. 2 | Acrylic on Panel(s) | Pine frame with weathered gray stain and Danish oil | 12”x14” | 2023 | Working on these smaller pieces has been a labor of love and a learning experience. When War Pigs Fly | 2024 | Acrylic on strips and pieces of 1/4” plywood. Self edged with painted scraps | 36”H x 60” W -This large piece has lots of imagery to gaze upon. Where have we been?… And where are we going? Questions akimbo as we all work together into our collective corners of the American Dream. You’re doing great… But we can do better (At least I can). -For Sale - $3,000

Flag No.3 (American Grid Treatment) | 2024 | Acrylic and Aerosol on Plywood Panel(s) | 36”x60” - A think piece on accusations, false narratives and bad math. Pride giving way to truth. 4 Score and a Flag Ago | 2024 | Acrylic and Aerosol on Panel and Pine | 3’x5’ - I’m really happy with how this one came together. MMM...Mies | 2012-2023 | Multi-Media on Plywood and Red Oak | 48" x 48" What is this: This large format piece uses a near classic illustration of mine. Originally illustrated in ‘98 using pen, marker and colored pencil on Vellum. I have redrawn, scanned and editioned scads of images of these. Many friends have these still holding court in their kitchens. It was a fun illustration then and still makes me happy today. My interests in art, furnishing, interior design and a bit of irony are all on display with this piece. This piece is called MMM…Mies. Coming in at a hefty 48”x48”, It really pops. Why it matters: This mixed media piece is kinda the last of a previous style of mine. I’m current painting my work in acrylic and when you see painted checkerboard / paint chip aesthetic backgrounds… Those squares are actually painted. I’m really happy to be doing this and will continue working this way. Paint is king. However, once upon a time, my first art pieces were made with laminated paint chips and paint samples. People liked them and as an interior designer I thought it was clever and made sense to me. Curious parties asked about how I had procured these paint chips… “Do you just walk into Lowe’s and steal all these?” Um… Yes. Pilfering 400 yellow paint chips at a time was kinda part of of making these. I slept fine and did no hard time. -For Sale - $3,500

Commission: The Family You Choose No.1 | 2023-24 | Acrylic on plywood panel(s) | Black oil stain on Poplar 39.5”x39.5” Ea. New piece completed. A rather detailed commissioned effort. The client is closer than close and patient as hell with the long production time. I appreciate her attitude and care with this project. I’m really pleased with how this turned out lots of positive energy. The camera can’t really grab how nice this turned out in person (IMO). The vertical diptych treatment turned out interesting… Makes it quite large also. -Sold

Elbow Patches | 2024 | Acrylic and Gel Pen on Plywood Panel(s) | Dark Walnut Stain on Poplar | 39.5”x39.5” I didn’t have a difficult time making this, but it definitely was a slow burn. I’ve been painting and tweaking this since the beginning of the year. I’m pleased with how it’s turned out. These type of art projects are supposed to reveal and reflect like a mirror to one’s soul. Is this how I see myself or who I am? I’m honestly not sure. I may get questions concerning my atypical scowl… I’ll just say I was taking the assignment seriously and this is where we’ve arrived. No worries; I’m good. I’m going to hang this in my home office. Being perpetually reflective… I’ll probably stare at it a bit. -Not For Sale (Probably)

#Romansh#%*t | 18”x13.5” | Acrylic on plywood panel(s) | Dark Walnut Polyurethane Stain on Poplar Frame | 2024. -I probably think of the Roman Empire and its brutal splendor a few times a month. The battles. The imagery. The culture. The ancient technology. It’s pretty awesome. -For Sale - $300

Hard Times | 18”x13.5” | Acrylic on plywood panel(s) | Dark Walnut Polyurethane Stain on Poplar Frame | 2024. - Everything that could go wrong... Did. An inside joke taken too far. Burnt Orange Track-Hoe No.1 | 2024 | Acrylic on Plywood and Pine | 16”x24” - I enjoy painting the backgrounds with the same color as the object. Pulling the white and black lines visually pushes and pulls the image. I’m not “enamored” with basic tools, images and objects in general… But as subject matter, they tend to key into visceral, long understood memories. This one has that “Boys and his Toys” kinda vibe. … and I’m ok with that. Not all art is beautiful; Sometimes it’s just deeply familiar. -For Sale - $300

4 in Tandem II | 2024 | Acrylic and Gel Ink on Panel and Pine | 16”x24” -This piece is a smaller remake of a “thank you” gift I made for a friend that I could not pay back so-to-speak. A photo of the original is on my website and I recently was reminded of its positivity and visual unsprung energy. Its agreeable, friendly nature should make for solid wall viewing. The original uses a very traditional “Classic Kyle” grided paint chip aesthetic… This version has varied brush strokes in similar yellow tones… It’s kind of the same… Kinda different. -For Sale - $375

Back-Hoe No.1 | 2024| Acrylic on Panel and Pine | 16”x24” - Another piece that calls out to the kid in you and I. This color really pops. Black, white and gray line-work pulls this image forward. - For Sale - $300

Vintage Electric Drill No.1 | 2024 | Acrylic on Panel and Pine | 16”x24” -These old cast aluminum tools are really great… Their used finish is nearly polished in some places due to being held. Many modern tools are much better when it comes to weight and ergonomics; However, These vintage tools age in a very visceral way and are a pleasure to see and use. -The visual texture on this piece punches above its pay grade IMO. -For Sale - $350

Bri-Guy | 2024 | Acrylic on Panel(s) | Walnut stain on Poplar and Pine. Leather and Acrylic details | 18”x24” Approx. - Lots of ancillary details on this piece. Among the typical multi-panel image treatment is some handsome bridle straps, decorative acrylic frame striping and signature stainless steel dog tag information tag. Resting off the wall with a pine wood pallet structure. All the bells and whistles on this one. -SOLD

Commission: Weird Harold | 2024 | Acrylic on Panel(s) | Semi-transparent Western Oak on Popular| 18”x24” - This piece was a pleasure to make and completely in my wheelhouse. Someone who I seriously respect, that I attended undergraduate school with reached out to me to make this piece a few weeks ago. It felt great to reconnect. Long story short, He and his teenage boys kick around the mountains of Colorado in this ancient Toyota Land Cruiser… That he use to go camping in when he was a child in California. It’s a lovely story about how someone bonds with automobiles and objects… for decades. Meet Weird Harold! -SOLD

Parted Ways | 2024 | Acrylic on Panels and Pine | Black Stain on Pine | 12”x16” Approx. - Sometimes things just don’t work out. Agreements dissolve and associations loosen. Things need to broken into smaller parts to make anew. Don’t worry, Everything will be fine. -For Sale - $450

Dearly Departed | 2024 | Acrylic on Panels and Pine | Black Stain on Pine | 12”x16” Approx. - Another piece in the vein of “All I want for Christmas is your two front teeth” type aesthetic. Sorry. Not sorry. Being able to use previously painted cut-offs and paint palettes in my work is satisfying and fun for me. Sometimes I can remember the colors and pieces of the previous works of art on these… This being the last large American flag piece completed earlier last month. -For Sale - $450

Commission: Knapp Family Fun | 2024 | Acrylic on Plywood Panel(s) | Golden Oak Stained Poplar |24"x36" -Hit me up for this story the next time you run into me. Nice guy commissioned me to make a piece for his 20th anniversary. -SOLD

Big Hoss | 2024 | Mixed Medium on Masonite Panel | Dark Walnut Stain on Poplar frame | 49.5”x43.5” - It’s a rather special piece for me. The background and most of its content are mixed media on Masonite. As I work on most of my “regular” art, I’ll prime and clean my brushes on my countertops. Drips of paint and stain and aerosol overspray have also laid down daily for over two years. What I’ve done here it put together a thick dark walnut stained frame and created a collage with some of the panels… adding a few images that make my work… Mine. It’s exciting and has great energy IMO, I’ll be making another one soon and more as my sloppy process will allow me too. -For Sale - $4,000

Middle Classy | 2024 | Acrylic and Latex on Plywood Panel(s) | Dark Walnut Stain on Poplar Frame. | 37.5”H. x 49.5”W - Number one of a series of four that veers into nostalgic and vintage Midwestern and Western culture. To summarize: You’ve finally made it. The bills are paid, the birds are chirping and you’ve normalized the weekly tithing. It’s been a lot of hard work and nothing can take it away from me, not even Johnson in receivables. -For Sale - $3,000

Midwest Nice | 2024 | Acrylic, Primer and Wall Spackle on Plywood Panel(s) | Driftwood Gray Polyurethane Stain on Poplar Frame | 37.5”x49.5” Number two in a series that leans into Midwest and Western Americana subject matter. Midwest Nice is an unoffensive meditation on local values and a more naive time. We took time to know our neighbors comings and goings, took out our trash and swept things under rugs with care. Chop chop neighbor; Those leaves aren’t going to rake themselves. -For Sale - $3,000

Shock Jock | 2024 | Acrylic, Latex, Primer on Masonite | Dark Walnut Stain on Poplar Frame | 37.5” X 49.5” Using the remainder of my paint and “slam poetry” encrusted studio countertops, I present Shock Jock. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been bringing this one up with some other pieces I’ve been toiling over in the studio. This piece, like Big Hoss are really big; 3” thick, 49.5” Wide, 37.5” High…. And Heavy. He’s a real sock in the jaw. -For Sale - $4,000
